How Can I Tell If I’m Pregnant?

Some women notice signs of pregnancy early on, while others may not experience any symptoms at all. Common early pregnancy signs include:

  • A missed period
  • Feeling unusually tired
  • Sore or swollen breasts
  • Nausea, with or without vomiting
  • Mood changes

Do I Need an Ultrasound Before an Abortion?

  • A positive pregnancy test gives you some information, but it doesn’t provide everything you need to make safe, informed decisions. An ultrasound can:
    • Determine how far along the pregnancy is
    • Verify where the pregnancy is located
  • This information is important if you are considering abortion, helping you understand your options and plan any necessary follow-up care.

Can I Get an Ultrasound to Check My Pregnancy?

  • We do not perform ultrasounds solely for routine pregnancy monitoring.
  • At Bloom Women’s Clinic, ultrasounds are available for women considering abortion as part of our pre-abortion screening process and for those who are not considering abortion, but still need confirmation and important details about their pregnancy.
  • If you think you might be pregnant, visit us for a free, lab-quality pregnancy test. We can confirm your pregnancy through an ultrasound (if eligible) and talk through your options so you can make a fully informed decision about your next steps.
